Inspiring Others Through Faith

Read through Isaiah 49. This chapter was the focus of my pastor's sermon on Sunday and it really resonated with me. I've allowed the busyness of life and my sense of obligation drown out God's voice.I know I need to slow down and seek His direction more intentionally. God puts His calling on everyone....all we have to do is take the time to listen. As Pastor Dave said on Sunday, "We allow ourselves to be used in the flesh rather than in the Kingdom". This is so true! We go through our days just trying to "get through our days". How terrible is that?! Without realizing it, we find ourselves knee-deep in the mud - entangled in things that pull us away from God's direction. That is how I have been feeling! I want my days to be more than just another day. We can incorporate Him into everything we do and it will make our lives SO MUCH BETTER and MORE MEANINGFUL!!! We have to intentionally pause throughout the day to remind ourselves not to just go through the motions. It's easy to get caught up in routine and forget the relationship. But God longs to be more than just part of our schedule - He wants to be present in our thoughts, our decisions, and our every action. He calls us to be His servant. Be in prayer about this! Our lives find true meaning and purpose only when we live to display God's glory - not just because it fulfills our deepest longing, but because it fulfills God's desire for us. Be faithful in what God asks you to do. He understands our journey and He believes in us! What a wonderful thing that is!
